Health & Nutrition Are THAT Closely Related?
Yes, we all know health and nutrition are related. But how closely related? Investigative journalist/author Mike Adams estimates that more than 95% of all chronic disease is caused by food choices, etc.
Today, more than 95% of all chronic disease is caused by food choice, toxic food ingredients, nutritional deficiencies and lack of physical exercise – Mike Adams, author, investigative journalist, educator
In fact, about half of adult Americans (around 117 million) have at least 1 or more preventable chronic diseases. These can include: cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, and poor bone health.
Many of these chronic diseases are related to poor nutritional choices and eating patterns, in conjunction with physical inactivity.
But Why?
When did we become so stubborn with our health. We know what’s causing our demise, yet we continue down that path.
Is it that hard to eat right and exercise daily?
No of course it isn’t. However, it’s obvious that we fail still.
Why?
Is it because we are overwhelmed by the marketing of foods with terms we’re familiar with but yet have no idea what they are or why we’d choose it?
Ah, Gluten Free MUST BE HEALTHY!
Could it be that companies spend countless dollars making foods hyper-palatable and use so many preservatives they could survive a nuclear winter? Maybe.
What if we decided to eat for function, and not a steady drip of dopamine? Do you think that being more selective with our food choices could save us from a life of chronic medical problems?
Studies, and most importantly, common sense show us it can.
Then why do we continue to chase the dragon?
What if you viewed that orange as not only a tasty dessert, but also insurance from the common cold?
No orange juice with an expiration date in the next millennium doesn’t count.
